Original art with pressed wild daisy in a gold- colored vintage frame. This one-of-a-kind piece measures 3×3 inches with frame plus .75 inches for the hanging loop on top.
The wild daisy flowers were gathered and traditionally pressed from an open pasture on my homestead in Oregon. The plant material was arranged and mounted to a deep eggplant-colored card stock. The frame is in vintage condition with the imperfect character you would expect.
Daisy is said to symbolize many things, but my favorite is the gentle beauty found in simplicity. The daisy’s name comes from Old English. “Daes eage,” meaning “day’s eye.” The flowers open their petals to welcome the sun in the morning and close at dusk.
